Basketball Game Preview: Richland Rams vs. Bishop McCort Crushers

Richland hasn't had much luck against Bishop McCort recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Richland Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bishop McCort Crushers at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Richland was able to grind out a solid victory over Penns Valley Area, taking the game 47-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for Richland.

Meanwhile, Bishop McCort came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 61-47 win over the Golden Eagles.

Bishop McCort pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Richland ended up a good deal behind Bishop McCort in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, losing 69-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bishop McCort's Gianna Gallucci, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards.
