Poway scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Carlsbad Lancers 66-61. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Poway lost, don't look at Emily Farr. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance gave Farr a new career-high in points. Riley Walsh was another key player, putting up eight points.

Poway has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Carlsbad, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Poway has already played their next matchup, an 87-39 loss against Westview on the 14th. As for Carlsbad, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-50 win against San Diego on the 11th.
