Hart came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Canyon Cowboys by a score of 45-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Hart's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Mack, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Emery Eav was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to eight boards and seven assists.

Hart smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Canyon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Darby Dunn went 8 for 19 en route to 20 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Williams, who posted three points along with 12 boards and three steals.

Hart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Canyon, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hart will face off against Valencia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Valencia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season. As for Canyon, they will challenge Saugus at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 54.7 points per game.
