Basketball Recap: Catherine Petterson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Loyalton over Paradise

Loyalton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-27 heartbreaker at the hands of the Paradise Bobcats.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Catherine Petterson, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Petterson, who earned seven points.

Loyalton's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Paradise, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Loyalton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-32 victory against Princeton on the 21st. As for Paradise, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Colusa at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
