Baseball Recap: Thornridge Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Thornridge's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Thornwood Thunderbirds on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 19-3 loss on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Thornridge and nudges their season record down to 3-14. As for Thornwood, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14-1.

Looking ahead, Thornridge will host Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.74 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Thornwood, they will venture away from home to face off against Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
