Softball Preview: North Springs Spartans vs. Harris County Tigers

The North Springs Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the Harris County Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.

On Thursday, North Springs didn't have quite enough to beat Blessed Trinity and fell 9-8.

Leila Madesko and Livvy Jones did some serious damage despite the final result: Madesko got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Jones went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double. At the plate, Ivy McCormick and Caroline Gatewood did most of the damage at the plate: McCormick went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI, while Gatewood got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most doubles McCormick has posted since back in August. Ella Kate Conkle was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Harris County's win bumped their record up to 25-4. As for North Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
