Softball Recap: Holden's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Holden had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lafayette County Huskers an 8-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Holden's record is now 9-4. As for Lafayette County, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holden will host Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lexington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
