Basketball Recap: Lakeside Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lakeside extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Angela Serrano. The Lakeside Lancers came out on top against the Arlington Lions by a score of 38-30 on Tuesday thanks in part to Serrano, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Elise Henderson was another key player, putting up seven points along with seven boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last nine games she's played.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Arlington, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside has already played their next contest (against Perris), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Arlington will square off against Vista del Lago at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington is facing Vista del Lago at the right time seeing as Vista del Lago is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
