Jackson is a perfect 10-0 against Rutland since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Howard hit Rutland with a four-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hurricanes have suffered against the Huskies since March 28, 2022.

Jackson dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Rutland, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Everything went Jackson's way against Rutland when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Jackson made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
