Basketball Recap: Frontier Piles Up the Points Against Garces Memorial

Frontier had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 40-point drubbing they dealt Garces Memorial on Thursday. The Frontier Titans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Garces Memorial Rams 70-30. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 26 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frontier to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexis Tinnin, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Tinnin also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Rizelle Copeland was another key player, going 7 for 15 en route to 20 points and five boards.

Frontier smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Frontier is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Garces Memorial, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Frontier is taking a road trip to take on Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frontier is facing Highland at the right time seeing as Highland is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Garces Memorial, they will venture away from home to face off against Independence at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
