The Giles County Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the Tyner Academy Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Giles County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past McMinn Central to the tune of 41-6. The win was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on eight straight.

A big part of Giles County's victory came down to the chemistry between Xavier Randolph and his top target Pierson Collier. Randolph threw for 226 yards and one TD on only 19 passes while Collier rushed for 117 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. 91 of Randolph's passing yards were hauled in by Drew McClemore.

Meanwhile, Tyner Academy was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Unicoi County 56-28. With the Rams ahead 36-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Giles County's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Tyner Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Everything came up roses for Giles County against Tyner Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 42-7 win. In that matchup, the Bobcats amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
