Softball Recap: Pace Academy Takes a Loss

Pace Academy couldn't beat Cartersville on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Knights took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bodhi Venturi led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Amelit Hall was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Pace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Cartersville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season.

Pace Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cartersville, they have already played their next matchup, a 15-3 defeat against Harris County on the 31st.
