Basketball Recap: Cumberland Valley Takes a Loss

Cumberland Valley suffered their biggest loss since January 2nd on Monday. They took a blow against the Altoona Mountain Lions, falling 62-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 24th).

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bella Mcintire, who posted six points. Ema Golali? was another key player, putting up six points.

Cumberland Valley moved to 11-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Altoona, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Cumberland Valley has already played their next game (against Carlisle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Altoona will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Central Dauphin at 6:30 p.m.
