Basketball Game Preview: Homer-Center Wildcats vs. Chestnut Ridge Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Homer-Center Wildcats duke it out with the Chestnut Ridge Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday... Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Homer-Center managed to keep up with Richland until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Homer-Center lost 50-25 to Richland. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Rams are ranked 168th).

Meanwhile, Chestnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 73-21 loss at the hands of Greater Johnstown. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.

Chestnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Homer-Center, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
