Basketball Recap: Alameda Comes Up Short

After flying high against Campolindo last Monday, Alameda came back down to earth. The Alameda Hornets fell 54-44 to the Piedmont Highlanders on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 54-48 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Piedmont, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Alameda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-53 victory against Chico on the 25th. As for Piedmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-51 loss against Antelope on the 25th.
