Softball Recap: Cartersville Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

While Cartersville put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Woodland. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-0 win. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Sophia Harper was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miley Jo Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Cartersville pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Woodland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
