Preview: Eagle Rock Eagles vs. Wilson Mules
Eagle Rock is 10-0 against Wilson since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Eagle Rock Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Wilson Mules at 3:00 p.m. Eagle Rock is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Eagle Rock stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 52-14 win over Lincoln. Given Eagle Rock's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Lincoln is ranked 748th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Wilson ended up a good deal behind Franklin on Friday and lost 39-24.
Despite their loss, Wilson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dailyn M, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Alexis J, who scored six points.
Eagle Rock is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Eagle Rock was able to grind out a solid win over Wilson in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 47-40. Does Eagle Rock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wilson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
