Recap: Hilmar Yellowjackets vs. Los Banos Tigers

If the Hilmar Yellowjackets were riding high off their 49-19 takedown of the Modesto Panthers on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hilmar was the victim of a rough 56-30 loss at the hands of Los Banos on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hilmar has scored all season.
Hilmar lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alicia Souza, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Souza's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Emma Gomes was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Hilmar struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hilmar's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Los Banos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Hilmar is on the road again on Saturday and play against Pacheco at 10:30 a.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Pacheco focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Friday. As for Los Banos, they will be playing at home against Patterson at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Patterson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
