Softball Recap: Assumption Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Mediapolis typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Assumption proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Assumption is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-13-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Mediapolis, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.

Looking ahead, Assumption will challenge Washington on Tuesday. The Demons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. Mediapolis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
