Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Falls Short of Denmark in the Playoffs

Chapel Hill and Denmark squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Chapel Hill had to settle for second. They fell just short of Denmark by a score of 7-6. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chapel Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariah Walker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another was Jayda Young, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Denmark, they moved to 14-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Chapel Hill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
