Recap: San Dimas Saints vs. Bishop Amat Lancers

The San Dimas Saints won against the Bishop Amat Lancers on Friday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. San Dimas walked away with a 54-44 victory over Bishop Amat. Given San Dimas' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Bishop Amat is ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Janessa Rodriguez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Priscilla Romero, who scored nine points along with four steals.

The win was the third in a row for San Dimas, bringing their record for this year to 17-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Bishop Amat, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Dimas will take on Northview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Northview is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Bishop Amat, they will be playing at home against Serra at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
