The Berkeley Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Castro Valley Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Berkeley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Berkeley had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Encinal on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' defense stepped up to hand the Jets a 6-0 shutout. Mia Sieminski was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Castro Valley had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Piedmont by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Castro Valley's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while Piedmont are ranked 196th).

The win got Castro Valley back to even at 4-4-1. As for Berkeley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-2.
