Basketball Recap: Carson Starts Season with Victory Against Piedmont

Carson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Piedmont Panthers by a score of 61-48.

Despite the loss, Piedmont still got an impressive performance from Caleb Laszlo, who posted 12 points. Graham Blackman was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carson will welcome Statesville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Piedmont, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against South Stanly at 7:30 p.m.
