Recap: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Ramona Bulldogs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Fallbrook Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They really took it to Ramona for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-15 win at home. With Fallbrook ahead 43-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Claire Nordeen was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 21 points, 22 rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Janice Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Ramona lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kailee Weddle. Despite the final result, she scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Ramona struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fallbrook racked up 12 assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fallbrook and bumps their season record up to 13-6. As for Ramona, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-14.
Fallbrook will square off against Olympian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ramona, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mt. Carmel at 5:30 p.m. Mt. Carmel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
