Soccer Game Preview: Oakland Tech vs. Skyline II

The Oakland Tech Bulldogs will take on the Skyline II Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oakland Tech has 12 straight wins, Skyline II has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Oakland Tech's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Leadership. The result was nothing new for Oakland Tech, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Titans on Wednesday. Skyline II came up short against Skyline, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Skyline II can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1146th, while Skyline is ranked 560th).

Skyline II's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-2. As for Oakland Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
