Soccer Recap: Carlsbad Takes a Loss

Carlsbad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the Roswell Coyotes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Carlsbad of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Carlsbad's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carlsbad will challenge rival Hobbs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Roswell is set to face off against their familiar foe Clovis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
