Soccer Game Preview: Santa Ynez vs. Lompoc

The Santa Ynez Pirates will challenge the Lompoc Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Santa Ynez lost 5-1 to Santa Maria on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Pirates were already down 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Hannah Ricci, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Lompoc entered their tilt with Mission College Prep on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Royals a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Braves have won by exactly two goals.

Santa Ynez's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Lompoc, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10-1 record this season.
