Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Edison

The Franklin Yellowjackets will face off against the Edison Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Franklin is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Tokay just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2.

Janelli Villagran wasn't going to let Tokay walk away unscathed as she scored both of Franklin's goals, bringing her season total up to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). They never let McNair onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Edison is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6-1 record this season. As for Franklin, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3-1.
