Basketball Recap: Long Beach Poly Makes It Nine in a Row on the Road

Long Beach Poly extended their road winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Joy Anderson. The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits claimed a resounding 73-16 victory over the Cabrillo Jaguars thanks in part to Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. What's more, she also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Nevaeh Lemons was another key player, going 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points and four steals. She has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Long Beach Poly is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Cabrillo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Long Beach Poly nor Cabrillo have any future games scheduled.
