Baseball Recap: Fall River Pirates vs. Palmyra-Eagle Panthers
Fall River extended their losing streak to 11 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-14. They lost 11-1 to the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.
As for Palmyra-Eagle, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.
For Palmyra-Eagle's part, Ryan Brodzik made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Brodzik has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.
