Softball Recap: North Springs Takes a Loss

North Springs is still winless after their matchup against Riverwood on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 on Monday.

North Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kara Hutton, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Hutton has brought in this season.

North Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Riverwood, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, North Springs will take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Vernon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
