Baseball Recap: Timberlane Comes Up Short

Timberlane extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 5-11. They lost 10-0 to the Nashua South Purple Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Nashua South, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Nashua South's part, Owen Varley was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Varley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden O'Connor, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Timberlane is set to face off against their familiar foe Windham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nashua South will take on rival Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Purple Panthers 3.8, the Bulldogs 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
