Soccer Recap: Bleckley County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Washington County last Thursday, Bleckley County came back down to earth. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Dooly County Bobcats who were credited with the win on Friday. The Dooly County Bobcats got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Bleckley County Royals' four. If Bleckley County were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to Dooly County when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Riley Lawson wasn't going to let Dooly County walk away unscathed as he scored both of Bleckley County's goals, bringing his season total up to 13 goals.

Bleckley County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for Dooly County, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, Bleckley County will venture away from home to square off against Dodge County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dooly County, they will welcome Wheeler County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
