Softball Recap: Cascade Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Cascade and Anamosa, and Cascade kept the tradition alive. The Cougars walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Raiders on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Cascade pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Anamosa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

Cascade didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 defeat against Osage on the 1st. As for Anamosa, they will venture away from home to face off against West Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
