Baseball Game Preview: Huron Tigers vs. St. Paul Flyers

The Huron Tigers will challenge the St. Paul Flyers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Huron came out on top against Firelands on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Tigers put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 10-1 victory.

Meanwhile, St. Paul owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They blew past Lucas 6-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Flyers.

The result came thanks to Alex Marsh's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Izaac Snyder, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Baird, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

St. Paul's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Huron, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Huron beat St. Paul 8-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Flyers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
