Soccer Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

After flying high against Immaculate Conception last Wednesday, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Lincoln Mustangs came up short against the Lowell Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 4-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lowell, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Coming up, Lincoln will venture away from home to take on The Academy - San Francisco at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is facing The Academy - San Francisco at the right time seeing as The Academy - San Francisco is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lowell, they will head out on the road to face off against Immaculate Conception at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Lowell knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Immaculate Conception likes a good challenge.
