Football Recap: Melrose Piles Up the Points Against Hagerman/Lake Arthur + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Melrose). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hagerman/Lake Arthur Bobcats 58-6. The Buffaloes' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

The victory made it two in a row for Melrose and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Hagerman/Lake Arthur, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Melrose will face off against Escalante at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hagerman/Lake Arthur, they will square off against Mescalero Apache at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
