Sprayberry and Pope are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Sprayberry will venture away from home to challenge Pope at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Sprayberry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.

Sprayberry took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Woodstock 8-0. It was an even better day for Maaziah Brown as he scored four goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Pope unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Sequoyah by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Pope came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Sequoyah are ranked 216th).

Sprayberry pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four contests. As for Pope, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Sprayberry beat Pope by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 2-1. Will Sprayberry repeat their success, or does Pope has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
