Softball Recap: Central Springs Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Central Springs proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pocahontas Indians, sneaking past 6-5.

Central Springs pushed their record up to 15-14 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Pocahontas, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-8.

Looking ahead, Central Springs will face off against West Fork on Monday. The Warhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Pocahontas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
