Erie had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Castle View on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Sabercats 12-1. The victory was just business as usual for the Tigers, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Sophee Horovitz looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sydnie Snook was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braelen Heer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

Erie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Castle View only posted an OBP of .263.

Erie's record is now 5-0. As for Castle View, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Erie has already played their next match, a 13-3 win against Niwot on the 26th. As for Castle View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-2 defeat against Arvada West on the 22nd.
