Basketball Game Preview: Anselmo-Merna Coyotes vs. Arcadia/Loup City Rebels

The Anselmo-Merna Coyotes will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Anselmo-Merna is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against Paxton on Thursday, falling 44-21.

Defeat or not, Anselmo-Merna got some senior leadership from Rhianen Myers and Shayleigh Coleman. Myers posted seven points along with 15 boards and three steals, while Coleman scored four points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Arcadia/Loup City made easy work of Chambers/Wheeler Central on Saturday and carried off a 48-26 win. The Rebels pushed the score to 42-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Renegades cut but never quite recovered from.

Anselmo-Merna and Arcadia/Loup City were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but Anselmo-Merna came up empty-handed after a 36-35 loss.
