Basketball Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short

Glendale and Hillcrest squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Glendale had to settle for second. They fell 55-42 to the Trojans.

Zanylah Jackson was her usual excellent self, putting up 24 points in addition to six boards and five steals for Hillcrest. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least a third of the Trojans' points. Another player making a difference was Zoey Boulware, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Glendale dropped their record down to 13-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hillcrest, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-13.

Glendale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing at home against Notre Dame Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
