Wahoo gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Plattsmouth Blue Devils by a score of 8-5. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 10-8 loss the last time these two teams met.
Avery Hanson and Addison Gregg did most of the damage at the plate: Hanson went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Gregg went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most hits Gregg has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bryer Hancock, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Wahoo has already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against Seward on the 23rd. As for Plattsmouth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Omaha Westside on the 22nd.
