Softball Recap: Valdosta Comes Up Short

Valdosta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Lowndes Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Valdosta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Lowndes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-20.

While Valdosta had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
