Basketball Recap: Alexis Eberz Key Part of a Team Effort in Patriots Win

Archbishop Carroll won the last time they faced Conestoga and things went their way on Monday too. The Archbishop Carroll Patriots took down the Conestoga Pioneers 61-43. The Patriots pushed the score to 48-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pioneers cut but never quite recovered from.

Archbishop Carroll's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Eberz, who posted 20 points. Eberz's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Eberz, who scored 16 points.

Archbishop Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Conestoga, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Archbishop Carroll and Conestoga should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Archbishop Carroll (ranked 28th) will meet Little Flower Catholic for Girls (ranked 355th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Conestoga will square off against Strath Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 397 places (26 vs. 423).
