Basketball Recap: Blue Hill Falls Despite Big Games from Reece Mlady and Avaley Toepfer

Blue Hill lost against Red Cloud two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The match between the Blue Hill Bobcats and the Red Cloud Warriors didn't end well, with the Blue Hill Bobcats falling 49-33.

Blue Hill's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Avaley Toepfer, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds, and Reece Mlady, who posted five points along with nine boards and three steals. Mlady is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 20 games she's played.

Red Cloud's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiva Rust led the charge by putting up 17 points. Josie Rust was another key player, posting 17 points.

Blue Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Red Cloud, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.
