Baseball Recap: Heritage Preparatory Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The King's Academy, Heritage Preparatory was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 13-10 win over the St. Mary's Academy Bobcats.

Lance Hudgins was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Ben Garner, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Heritage Preparatory's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. Mary's Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Heritage Preparatory will challenge Holy Spirit Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Spirit Prep has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something Heritage Preparatory will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will take on Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
