Basketball Recap: Modesto's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Modesto can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They managed a 30-26 win over the Turlock Bulldogs. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 43-10 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Modesto got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Allison Marchy out in front who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eshrajjit Rai, who earned seven points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals.

Turlock's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aleya Salazar Martella, who put up eight points along with seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cadence Campbell, who had two points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals.

Modesto's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-13. As for Turlock, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Modesto has already played their next game, a 50-33 loss against Enochs on the 30th. As for Turlock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-14 defeat against Gregori on the 30th.
