Soccer Recap: Hawkinsville Comes Up Short

Hawkinsville lost against Wheeler County back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawkinsville Red Devils fell just short of the Wheeler County Bulldogs by a score of 5-4. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hawkinsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wheeler County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawkinsville will welcome Montgomery County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hawkinsville is facing Montgomery County at the right time seeing as Montgomery County is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wheeler County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Swainsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Swainsboro's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
