Valdosta is a perfect 4-0 against Echols County since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Valdosta will be playing in front of their home fans against Echols County at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Valdosta turned things around against Brunswick on Friday. They blew past the Pirates 4-1. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Valdosta used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Brunswick. Leandro Vasquez played for 80 minutes having averaged 48.5 this season. Kelog Pufong made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, Echols County narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Worth County 4-3.

Echols County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five games. As for Valdosta, their victory bumped their record up to 2-15.

Everything went Valdosta's way against Echols County when the teams last played back in February of 2021, as Valdosta made off with a 6-0 win. Does Valdosta have another victory up their sleeve, or will Echols County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
